“2022 Detergent Basic Knowledge and Formula Technology Training” was held in China Research Institute of Daily Chemical Industry between August 14th and 20th in 2022. This training was hosted by China Research Institute of Daily Chemical Industry, organized by China Information Center of Daily Chemical Industry and supported by VTR Group. More than 50 trainees from more than 40 washing products and related companies signed up for the training.

This training included classroom teaching, laboratory operation, group communication and visiting study. The theoretical courses included the new trend of detergent development and the new requirements of raw material properties, the principle of detergent formulation, the overview of detergent formulation design, the function and application skills of enzyme preparations in detergents as well as the introduction of China’s surfactant and detergent standard system, etc. The training of laboratory operation included the determination of detergents used for clothing and detergents’ decontamination, determination of detergents’ foaming power, determination of total active substance content in detergents, determination of anionic active substance content in surfactants and detergents, etc. Many experts and scholars acted as the teachers involving Sun Yongqiang, Vice President of China Research Institute of Daily Chemical Industry, Zhang Tianyi, co-manager from the R&D center of Wealthfields Lohmann (Guangzhou) Household Necessities Co., Ltd. and Dr. Wang Jun from VTR Group.

During the training session, all participants were invited to visit China Washing Supplies Quality Supervision Inspection Center affiliated to China Research Institute of Daily Chemical Industry, Applied Technology Innovation Center of China Research Institute of Daily Chemical Industry, China Cosmetics Industry Collaborative Research Center and China Information Center of Daily Chemical Industry, etc. They also communicated with relevant staff from the above organizations.

Besides, all participants were invited to take part in the collective communication in the “Chinese Daily Chemical Youth Science and Technology Salon”. Participants from Beijing Lvsan Chemistry Co., Ltd., Novozymes China Investment Co., Ltd., North University of China and Hubei Vitality Group Co., Ltd. shared their feelings and professional experience. After this training, 40 participants passed the examination and received the Formula Engineer Qualification Certificate awarded by China Research Institute of Daily Chemical Industry.
