Shanxi provincial key laboratory of Surfactant, which is affiliated to the China research institute of daily chemical industry, has formed its own characteristics in this field, focusing on the basic theoretical research of Surfactant application. A group of experienced, high-quality experts and advanced experimental equipment were involved in the key laboratory. There are four main research directions engaged in the study of the structure and properties of Surfactant, the interaction between surfactant and other substances and the behavior phases and rheology of surfactants, and the applied basic theory of microemulsions, basic theoretical studies on the application of surfactant aggregates (lyotropic liquid crystals, vesicles, etc.) in the key Laboratory. Nearly 20 projects included in National Natural Science Foundation key projects were finished and more than 20 high-grade scientific papers have been published in domestic and foreign scientific journals.
